Powerclipping

The act of cc'ing more senior people to an email thread in order to gain some form of recognition for your efforts. Desperate corporate types clambering up the greasy pole will exhibit this behaviour.

The powerclipper is usually not self-aware enough to use this in an ironic reflexive form, i.e. "I powerclipped senior management so they know how great I am"

Antonym: Powershedding - The emailer sees no need to cc'd everyone on the list so emails directly to the appropriate party. The emailer will usually exhibit high self-esteem.

Noun: "He's a powerclipper"
Verb: "Geez, he powerclipped me in on this banality; it's way below my pay grade"

Ann: "Why did I get this email from Bill?"
Colin: "He's powerclipping his way to the top."

Drewsius Powersium

1. (noun) Latin name: Drewsius Powersium. A rare and intriguing species of ridiculously handsome young men commonly found in the Pacific Northwest, a typical Drewsius Powersium will spend much of his day at various musical endeavors, including (but not limited to):
-trombone
-bass
-harmonica
-guitar
-didgeridoo
-possibly ukelele.

His main diet consists of toast, juice, 1% milk, and the pizza he fashions while miraculously working his opposable thumbs. Half-nocturnal, one might, in a moment of extreme good luck, bear witness to the nightly mating call this species will sometimes make on their primitive cellular apparatuses.

Ahh man, so we went on this camping trip down in Portland, and I SWEAR we almost ran into a Drewsius Powersium! Scariest moment of my life, dude, i'm tellin' ya, he was all ready to own up on my ass.

Anyone functioning from the collective unconscious retilian brain, rendering them philosophically a social dar-WIN-ist dominated by fear,rendering them addicted to irrational social power plays over others. They seek professional and inappropriate yet socially acceptable power over others. Libido arousal is prevalent when dominating and depressed with the perception of losing any particular power game. A case of socially implemented impaired development and insecure. A belief that they are what they do. Outer directed as opposed to inner directed. etc.

He is a powerphile politician and the sychophant crowd adore his charisismatic gyrations.
