Plandom is an annoying form of being "random" but actually planning the randomness ahead of time, or using the same three or four "random" phrases.

Plano West

The newest of the senior high schools in Plano. Most students from Plano or especially Plano East will tell you that the school is nothing but a bunch of "rich kids", although the population is basically upper-middle class. The exuberant displays of wealth have died down here in recent years, most evident in the parking lot. There's a few Audis and Mercedes, but that's about as nice as they get. The typical student drives a hand-me-down or used Toyota. The people here aren't mean, they just come off that way because of the fact that they are wealthier than average and don't really interact with people outside their circle of friends. The school is very diverse, however, and everyone can find their niche. The teachers are great too, but the school is EXTREMELY competitive academically, because of the large Asian population as well as the white population whose parents went to an Ivy League school and therefore have ultra-high expectations for their teens. You have to have a 4.0 or higher to be in the top 10%. Drugs aren't all that big of a problem here, but alcohol runs rampant. Even some of the last kids you'd expect have Facebook pictures with them drinking a beer or with other kids in the background drinking beer, usually Keystone Light. Everyone here has matured a bit since their days at Shepton and Jasper, and therefore fights very rarely occur, on campus at least. The school's football team isn't that great, but the school excels in other areas to compensate, most notably in the Fine Arts department and the tennis team. And I'm not gonna lie, we have the worst-looking campus of the three high schools. The other two schools have picturesque campuses with nice ponds, we on the other hand have this pathetic, tiny pond in the shape of a "W" that is rarely turned on, serving as a rather nice stagnant home for the dying fish. Overall the school isn't that bad, but not that great either.

There you have it. A fair and balanced definition from someone who actually goes to Plano West.

The act of running away to get married yet actually planning almost every aspect of the elopement along the way.

They decided against a formal wedding but were unable to fully throw caution to the wind so a planopement was the only option.

Plano Princess

A woman between 28 and 48, driving an SUV while talking on the cell-phone, not paying attention to where she's going, and with at least 3 different kids names with sport stickers on her rear window. She generally doesn't realize her husband is paying for their lifestyle with credit and they'll be on the street if he loses his telecom job.

I'm going to be late this morning, i'm stuck behind a Plano Princess.
Geez, you'd think every Plano Princess in town was at the mall today.

Plano East Band

The best band in Plano, TX. Also known as The-Band-That- Marched-In-A-Tornado-At-Area-And-Still-Placed-In-The-Top-5-At-Finals. The band hosts an annual marching invitational, and they went to Bands of America Super Regional in San Antonio for the first time in 2010, placing in finals on their first try.

The Plano East band has also recieved a superior rating at the UIL Marching contest for as long as the school has existed (since 1981).

The band program has recieved national recognition and awards for its superior performance and curriculum. Even Mickey Mouse and his fellows at Disney approve of the Plano East band. They're so awesome, the 'B' in 'Plano East Band' needs to be capitalized.

The Plano East band knows how to illuminate the symbols on the path to pursuing their dreams, all the while riding the currents of life.

If that band is able to go to a nationally-recognized marching contest and place in finals without the use of props and other aids, then they are a Plano East band.

Plano Band be hatin' cuz the Plano East Band has Snickers.

Plano West band be hatin' cuz Plano East Band gets to do cool things in their marching shows without looking cheesy and also get to go to Area marching contests. Also, Plano East has more respect for their band than Plano West. Poor Westies...

West: Did you see Plano East Band's show this year?
Senior: Yeah, it's REALLY cool. I wish we could be like them.
West: Why aren't you like them?
Senior: Why aren't YOU like them?

plano

A medium-sized community (about 250,000 people) in the northeastern sector of the DFW metroplex. Alot of shit is said about it from people who don't even live here. First of all, let me begin by saying that really the only "rich" part of Plano is the area in between George Bush Tollway, Dallas North tollway, Windhaven Parkway, and Preston Road, which only makes up for about 1/6 of the city as a whole. However, once you pass Coit road going west, you will definitely notice a change in atmosphere. Even then it's not rich, if you want to see rich go to Beverly Hills. And there are actually many low-income government housing projects in the Plano West attendance zone. Plano is also known for its abundance of movie theatres, such as the Cinemark Legacy, Tinseltown, the Angelika, the Movies 10 dollar theatre (YES! a DOLLAR THEATRE in PLANO!!! AREN'T YOU SHOCKED????) and the Studio Movie Grill. I really can't think of a place I'd rather live, but maybe because I've lived here about 95% of my life

Plano, TX sure is fine and dandy.
