1) The time when one takes their lunch break and/or eats their afternoon meal. 2) Any meal-time that is an unspecified time (e.g. not exactly at “noon”) set aside for the second meal of the day. 3) The time of day when one’s brain goes “out to lunch” and checks out for an extended break.

mommy luncher

A parent who insists on treating their preteen child / children like babies. Specifically meeting with them during team lunches for sports teams their child participates in.

Look at that mommy luncher, she didn't have time to eat her lunch because she was blowing on her 12 year old son's hot chocolate to cool it off and then needed to put dressing on her 14 year old daughter's salad. She may not have enough energy to follow their ski lesson around this afternoon.

En la lucha

Literally this means "in the fight". This is used by people in Latin America; in particular Puerto Rico, The Dominican Republic, and Cuba.

People use this to describe their daily struggles, in particular in regards to overcoming financial difficulties. When you are "en la lucha" life is difficult, and you are fighting to win.

School Lunch

Somthing kids on a closed campus school are forced to eat. Usually of sub-par quality and overpriced. If one finds the main options too repulsive, they can go for the bank breaking a la carte option. which consists of bagels, juices, chips etc. Main courses consist of, but are not limited to, the following items

-Burnt, overcooked tater tots
-Dry, gag-inducing hamburgers or chicken sandwiches
-Ceasar Salad drenched in sauce
-Milk thats frozen in the carton
-Spaghetti,tacos, and nachos all using the same disgusing sauce
- Calzones that are dry, taste like cardboard and are with unknown substances

80s Power Lunch
