the dad grab referred to when a guy grabs a girls upper arm and jerks down firmly in attempt to startle, confuse or make her laugh. usually complimented by a remark of absolute control, such as "now, WHAT DID I TELL YOU!?"...this doesn't work well when a guy does it to another guy or a girl does it to a guy.... but when a guy does it to a girl, it just gives that out of control "dad-like" feel that NOTHING compares to.
