Benny

Benny (Plural: Bennies)
A nickname given to people living on the Falkland Islands.
During the Falklands War, British troops noticed the similarities of many of the Falklands Islanders, to a Character from a British soap opera, ('Crossroads')

In this soap opera, Benny was a simple (mentally challenged) odd job man, known for wearing old knitted jumpers and a woolly bobble hat.

Military top brass stopped the soldiers calling the Islanders Bennies, so the soldiers started calling the Islanders 'Stills' (meaning, 'still Bennies')

The Falkland islands is still a major outpost for the British Military (mainly Navy) and the Islnders are still referred to as 'Bennies' and 'Stills'

Benny Patrol

A group of angry Jersey shore natives, fed up with the Southward migration each year of beach going New Yorkers (New Yorkahs) and all those who live north of the Raritan Bridge. The group was founded in the Spring of 2005 by locals from the coastal towns of Brick and Toms River. Their primary goal is the elimination of the Benny threat to their sacred sands and coastal waters.

Thank God for the Benny Patrol. Did you see them make those Benny's bite the curb?

Benny Go Home

Benny Go Home was formed to counter the onslaught of southbound bennys to the Jersey shore, each and every summer. Its ranks are made up of locals sick of the invading hoards and formed as an evolution of the Benny Patrol, forming its political wing. Their end goal is to rid the Jersey shore of those who would disrespect any local, or his home. Through any means, Benny Go Home shall make the shores of Jersey safe for all locals.
