When you try to inform people about how their actions (ie, buying certain products, wasting water, etc). are contributing to ecological devastation or social oppression, and they insultingly call you “woke”.

I tried to inform my cousins about how buying that brand of hummus contributes to Palestinians’ oppression and they I tried to inform my cousins about how buying that brand of hummus contributes to Palestinians’ oppression and they hurled the slur “woke” at me. I was wokeshamed.
