Riding the merry-go-round

Riding the merry-go-round* is when a woman seeks to secure a handsome, perhaps wealthy, emotionally unavailable man ("Chad"*) in an attempt to improve social standing (hypergamy), gets dumped, and then she tries again, repeating the cycle.
