On November 1, 2022, right after Halloween, a altercation broke out against a unknown guy and Quavo, who was with takeoff at that time. Quickly, a fight broke out and punches were exchanged on both parties. Gunfire broke out, and people were hit and injured. Takeoff was shot in his neck twice and was declared dead on arrival.
