It loses the gay connotations but keeps the general insult, closer to calling someone an idiot but much flashier.
Typically used in a friend to friend conversation as a joke.

It’s pasta that taste better then regular pasta u have to say the secret password to get into the trial of pastas then and only then will u find in trapped in a bar cage then u will need to fight to the death threw 49 different battles of different kinds of pastas well what if there isn’t 49 different kinds of pasta in the world then u need to make from scratch ur own Recipes to fight and then when u win all 49 battles u get the key but oh no when u go to unlock the pasta from the bar cage it’s a booby trap u have to grab the pasta run away to Rome take it on a romantic date have 73 children with it and live and die a happy life but at age 91 u find out they were all along the ruler of the secrete society of pastas wanting to take revenge on them for eating the last bread stick at the cult offering. U now finish the story it is out of my hands
