A Russian KGB invention in the 1960s during the Cold War of migrating Arabs from the late 1800s to the Ottoman and eventually British territory called Palestine. The Arab world adopted this term for the Arabs in that land to punish the Jews who retuned (after millennia in exile) to their 3500 year old ancestral homeland.

Palestinians were the Jews in Israel before 1948.
