degrease

Using paper-towels to take off the grease of your food. Most notably used on the top of cheese pizza.

Not to be confused with dabbing... someone degreasing will press down hard enough on the top of a pizza slice with a paper towel to make the sauce and ingredients spill out the side, where dabbers will just gently dab off the grease sitting on the very top of the cheese.

Guy1: Dude, how did you down an entire box of KFC potato wedges?

Guy2: I meticulously degreased every wedge. I used up half a roll of paper towels. Without that extra pound of grease, I could down two boxes in one sitting.

Guy1: Whatever, bitch.
