The name is self explanatory, however if you come across one it will usually use words like 'gowpin'; howk; sair; scill; (and the most commonly used) Sellick' and also expressions like 'he's gauin ailsa' meaning 'one is angered'. They usually reside in Tarbolton or 'Tar-beeeee' to its inhabitants. They are also something of a legend in Ayrshire.

Working together. In a work setting when 2 people work together. Also, when 2 companies do a joint venture to bridge a gap... it's called darning the dam. You could also use this when 2 departments work together on a centralized goal.
Our design team is darning the dam with our marketing team to build an awesome website. We're going to make so much money.
