Dirtbagging

Being at a certain point of desperation where you'll reach over to another table and help yourself to the unfinished drink of someone who's left the lounge. Common practice of stressed-out folks about to head into a sales call, going through divorce, or just want to put the "seed" in "seedy", and need that extra drink. Usually practiced after one has had a couple of drinks (to, ya know, establish that you "belong" in the establishment), and desperately reaches for some abandoned beverage in a knee-jerk, fuck-all gesture.

"Dude--drinking that beer that guy left is pretty dirtbag."

"You wanna go get drinks later--maybe a bit of dirtbagging?"

An individual who is not capable of respectfully participating in any common aspect of society including/but not limited to: hygiene, intelligence, fitness, appearance, style, speech, sexual relations, means of transportation, housing, and familial obligations. They get their clothes from school lost and founds and go to costco to eat the free samples for dinner. In the eyes of society this person is about as useful as a bag of dirt, they can be used to fill up holes in the ground and thats about it. Nobody wants a dirtbag in their house because they will soil all the carpet and then try to eat the shit out of the catbox.

Dude, get this dirtbag out of my house! He is making the air contaminated.

One who pirates a satellite signal by using an illegitimate subscriber card. The Satellite Dirtbag orders porn, Pay Per View and other expensive packages which are charged to someone elses account. This brand of dirtbag typically has an immense beer-belly and masturbates frequently to pornography of increasing abstractness. He is also totally oblivious to the fact that he is a dirtbag.

A slang used in the United States Army to describe a soldier whose performance is lacking. Dirtbag is typically used to describe a soldier with long term performance issues, whereas similar US Army slang, such as "Ate up" and "Soup sandwich" are used in the short term. All soldiers have at one time or another been designated as "Ate up" or "Soup Sandwich," but only those with significant long term problems are labelled as being dirtbags.

He is also an alcoholic,and cigarette/drug addict, or recovering drug addict, who never went to college. Most likely does manual labor work and spends more than he earns.
