Conservative Jones

Noun.
A Conservative so ideologically obsessed with finding proof to support their goals that they become blind to the actual truth. Often rejecting any fact or truth deemed inconvenient to their political ideals causing them to look foolish to their peers and opposition.

Originating from comic This Modern World
It was clear to everyone that Paul was a Conservative Jones when he refused to except that Obama's birth certificate was real and insisted that the questionable blog he pulled up had proof that there was a conspiracy afoot

conservative

Despite the misgivings of certain individuals who have an absurdly black/white view of the political spectrum, conservatism does not instantly mean hypocrasy and it certainly is not necessarily far-right in philosophy. Conservatism can be broadly categorised in two areas:

1. Fiscal conservatism. A belief in personal responsibility for finances. Scaling back taxation to allow greater control over individual incomes. Conservative thinking promotes cutbacks in public spending enabling tax breaks to be given to those that are earning, and believes in helping those out of work back into self sufficiency.

2. Social conservatism. Contrary to the fiscal conservatism, social conservatives believe in placing restrictions on personal freedoms, resulting in more government involvement into the daily lives of individuals. This is also known as neo-conservative.
I am a fiscal conservative, but a social liberal.

Compassionate Conservative

One with mostly conservative views but who wants to differentiate themselves from the more hard-line conservatives of old.
Robin Williams: Compassionate conservative. I don't know what that is, it sounds like a Volvo with a gun rack.

neo-conservative

Unlike traditional conservatives (who advocate small, gradual change), neo-cons advocate the use of force, manipulation and deception to radically change social policy BACK to the repressive pre-1960s days, while keeping the economy free-market thus enabling large corporations to take over the world.
Burn, you filthy, lying, stinking neo-con shitbag.

Liberal Conservative

Someone who doesn't get involved with politics, but is a "free spirit who stands by their morals"
He's so outgoing and fun to be around but at the end of the day stands by his beliefs. Prime example of a Liberal Conservative!

conservative

1) One who espouses a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change.

2) One who believes in less government being better government.

3) One who believes in such "outmoded" ideas as civil liberties (freedom of speech, separation of church and state, right to keep and bear arms, that kind of thing)

4) One for whom the Republican Party no longer truly speaks.

5) a word that today's so-called "conservatives" don't know the definition of.
"Today's so-called 'conservatives' don't even know what the word means. They think I've turned liberal because I believe a woman has a right to an abortion. That's a decision that's up to the pregnant woman, not up to the pope or some do-gooders or the Religious Right. It's not a conservative issue at all." -- Barry Goldwater

Spend and Borrow Conservative

Where the Conservatives refuse to raise taxes but continue to spend more than they have so then borrow from other countries like China until the deficit is more than can ever be paid back.
The Spend and Borrow Conservatives (Republicans) cut taxes for the rich then make a war that costs billions a month, in order to pay for the war they borrow from China.

The Spend and Borrow Conservatives make all kinds of rules for the schools then don't fund them, after all why not just borrow the money from someone else, thats the spend and borrow way.
