a.) The game must have a ball,
b.) There must be rules and scoring,
c.) This is the big one: there must be a physically active defense involved.

Football and soccer (futbol) are sports. Golf, track, and cross country are not, they are activities, which require skill none the less.

Boasting about one's physical training (30 abs, 45' run, whatever), trying to make everyone jealous of this motivation.

Generally, this training is so exceptionnal that people need to sport-brag in order to increase the impact of this training.

Typical Sport-Bragging :

"Yesterday, I ran 10 km. I feel so good right now", Leslie sport-bragged Leslie. "Not like you, looser", she thought.
