SHAW (Self-Hating White)
A critical term applied to a white person who is perceived as rejecting, disparaging, or disowning their own cultural or racial identity while seeking validation from, or aligning strongly with, outside groups. The label functions as a parallel to “Uncle Tom,” in that it conveys an accusation of self-betrayal or disloyalty to one’s own group.

Critics accused the professor of being a SHAW for rejecting his own culture to gain approval within activist groups.
