An effect often seen in books of the dystopian genre where the author inserts a slew of unfortunate, jarring events that leave the reader astonished and speechless, especially if a beloved character dies suddenly with little time to grieve.

In the book Mockingjay, from The Hunger Games Trilogy, the death of the character Finnick Odair shows The Hunger Games Effect in full force, where he dies so suddenly, it’s almost comical.

the strawbee affect references a popular pinterest creator who’s account is titled “strawbee.” strawbee is known for being 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 about people whom she finds attractive. her 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴iness then rubs off on others who view her 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 cuntent, often pinterest creators, causing them to create 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 cuntent as well, or just feel overall 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂 when they see someone they find attractive.
