PTSD: Post-Tutor Scam Disorder — A term first coined by online class help expert, Jim O'Hara, that refers to the phenomenon that occurs whenever a student gets scammed online by someone claiming to be a "tutor," and now suddenly believes that ALL online tutors are scammers. Out of fear of being scammed again, students with "PTSD" force genuinely legitimate online tutors to go through completely arbitrary & convoluted nonsense to try to “prove” the tutor's legitimacy. However, because of the student's "PTSD," no matter how much concrete evidence the tutor provides bolstering their legitimacy, the student is still convinced the genuinely legitimate online tutor is just another scammer.

Jeez, this student that texted me got some serious PTSD: Post-Tutor Scam Disorder! Apparently, some foreign scammer from the Middle East claimed to be an expert in chemistry and tricked her into paying him upfront. Then he blocked her number and never heard from him again. Because of that, this student is making me jump through hoops to try to prove I'm not another scammer. It is complete BS that she's making me go through this nonsense when she totally didn't make that other guy do so before. But it's pointless, no matter how much proof I give her, her PTSD will still make her think I'm a scammer, so what's even the point of humoring her?

Korean Tourist Disorder

Korean Tourist Disorder (KSD) is the irresistible compulsion to take pictures of oneself our one's family in front of every conceivable landmark, regardless of its insignificance. The afflicted are not necessarily Korean, although many are. They frequently clog hallways and sidewalks at high-profile American universities and other locales. Their primary mode of transportation include caravans of transcontinental tour buses, which never stop for more than ten minutes or less than two at any of particular place of interest.

A form of boredom that occurs in relation to mandatory meetings, most commonly those centered around a presentation.
Symptoms include difficulty in staying awake, and delirious hallucinations more commonly referred to as daydreams.

Online disorder in which a person posting comments, blogging, chatting, or otherwise electronically communicating, especially while under anonymous screen names, uses multiple screen names to enhance different parts of their offline multiple personalities, and becomes someone and/or something they are not under each name.
(Not to be confused with Online Personality Disorder (OMPD)

"Gladys has 7 AOL Accounts and 49 different screen names she types under- A different one per week. That one is a doctor, that one is a lawyer, that one is a housewife...she uses that one to talk to these people...that one to talk to those people..."

Obsessive Compulsive Digital Disorder

A web-based disorder in which the patient is beset with the need to comment continuously on another's Facebook wall. Their dedicated doting is not done out of affection but out of an extreme insecurity. These positive comments are the web2.0 equivalent of pissing on a tree to mark territory. Attempts to delete these pheromone-infused comments will only accelerate their onslaught until you're inundated with notifications from being tagged in photos you aren't in, and your statuses being "liked" regardless of their content.

At first my boyfriend's “Can’t wait to see you!” and “Happy half-groundhog’s day!” facebook wall comments were cute, but after about the 16th “Looks like you had fun!” I realized that he was just suffering Obsessive Compulsive Digital Disorder and unfriended his insecure ass.
