Apple Picking

A crime currently gaining traction in urban areas in which someone steals an iPhone out of the user's hand and or pocket. The attacks sometimes involve force, though most of the time they are grab and runs. People who have been Apple picked often describe it as a horrifying if not demeaning experience in which they were psychically and or psychologically threatened.

Gangster 1: "Yo, I'm 'bout to go Apple picking man Imma sell that shit on ebaae"
Gangster 2: "Yae man, grab ya glock we goin steal a iPhone tonight!"

2 Hours later:

Gangster 1: "We totally Apple picked that bitch man!"
Gangeter 2: "What's that sound?"

This is the police, come out your house with your hands behind your head!

Packanack Lake is an upscale lake community in Wayne, New Jersey comprising of the neighborhoods of Packanack Estates, Packanack Lake, Packanack Manor, and Packanack Woods. Widely-known as the community who refused to let minorities (Including Italian's) join Packanack's 'County Club' in the 1960's (You had to join the Club in order to buy a home in the community), it is now filled with WASP's, upper-middle-class & rich kids whos drive their parents Mercedes and BMW's, $500k tiny 2 Bedroom bungalows and McMansions that take up the whole acreage.

Parkinson's law

Parkinson's law is an administrative principle that states that work tends to expand in relation to the time available for its completion. From C. Northcote Parkinson, a professor of the University of Malaysia, who first wrote of this law. While Parkinson, like Laurence J. Peter, apparently wrote his book as a satire on administration, unfortunately it turned out to be true.

It's a sad rule of corporations, and universities are not exempt, that the administrative apparatus tends to expand with time. Unfortunately, this is accompanied by stasis in what is accomplished. Parkinson's law holds true.
