grunger

my definition is someone who likes "grunge" (which started out as a fusion of heavy metal and punk rock)music, and as a general rule wears baggy clothes and as people who seem to knw what their talking about pointed out, some "grunger" girls will dress in a more riot grrl style(riot grrl being a sorta political/feminist spin-off of grunge is my understanding),also,i could be called a grunger but me and my friends are some of the girliest girls i know!.although i have critisisms of townies/townie music, i dont see the point in pigeonholing a whole group(townie OR grunger)as i have townie friends who are just as nice as anyone else, as well as knowing some EVIL "grungers"(and some townie music isnt CRAP, i just dont like it)i think people do this to try and strengthen their own alliance to a group.but id like to point out im not convinced by all this "im just me,im above labels" stuff, it just seems pretty phoney and stuck up to me.thank you.pixie

Grunge

The most gay music ever. The whole scene killed 80's metal, witch actaully had talent. I mean seriously thanks to gay bands like nirvana , alice in chains and janes addciton, we wouldnt of had that problem. And if grunge wasnt formed then i dont think we would have gay genres today like scremo or emo. So I blame grunge for the death of 80's metal and how singing about how they hate life so much can over power singing about having a good time. And the issue with listening to three power chords over real solos and actuall chords and shit.

Metal guy: Fuck nirvana i rather go see the skid row concert tonight

sum really kool music wich broke the dancefloor in 1989 and has at least some influence on some rock band today grunge was a kind of metal with punk vocals so it is a mix beetwen the offsping and slayer really so you cant like grunge wihtout liking metal and punk.

A stereotype - a group of people who are portayed as anti capitalist (shocking, due to the middle class nature of the trend) unkempt (when did you last seen a grunger in a decent barbers?) and generally anti-modern-sity culture due to fear of rude boys and Dizzee Rascals, who, if they took the time to notice, they seem to outnumber by about 10 to 1 in the suburban areas they tend to inhabit. note: pussys

shame as the music they represent has its good points, but is negated by a generalised attitude that anyone who listens to hip hop/dnb/rnb/garage must be a deliquent and that while they moan on about avoiding conformity, theres nothing unique about 100 idiots too cheap to shave or get a haircut all wearin the same slipknot/muse hoodie headbashing to some godforsaken heavy metal tune in underworld every wednesday.
