Despite the popular stereotypical Desi definition of Ginder, "Ginder" is an American-born Indian Rapper from Central Jersey who currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, and one of the first successful American-born Indians to make it big in the music industry. "Ginder" is a self-made boss, a hustler who doesn't let anyone or anything stop him from achieving his goals. "Ginder" is a role model, an inspiration, and a helping hand to others through his music and his actions. "Ginder" is a leader and a visionary who wants to create an impact so big not only for his friends, family, and community but for the entire world by the end of his lifetime. "Ginder" will have a legacy that will live on forever and he is living proof that you can accomplish anything in life if you put your damn mind to it no matter your ethnicity, race, age, or gender.

On the other hand, "Ginder" is not just a single individual. "Ginder" is a voice, a persona, and a spirit that belongs to every single Desi on this planet. All "Ginders" hold the same potential, power, and value.

Derived from 'cattle grid', a gridder is a person who lives on the more rural side of a road with a cattle grid. Someone who has one on their road and in front of their house is known as a 'double gridder'. It can also be applied to those who have to go over cattle grids in order to reach work.
