Scene

scene kids or commonly now refered to as scenesters as well as the large ego and vanity share a largte interest in vanity groups of myspacewhich require general attractiveness, 1000+ picture comments and/or 2000 myspace friends, for example.
This subculture from the emo phase is aspired to by many youths, But the major rule on this subculture is the inability to call yourself a scene kids as the result causes one to then become a wannabe. so calling yourself scene is not allowed but many apsire to be scene without 'trying'. in effect another label thrown around to deny.
Scene kids are very opinionated and follow some form of art, and their dress sense orginates from that of emo with bright vibrant colours thrown in for shock value. the crazy hair styles are used to turn heads, males taking longer hair whilst females can vary from many back brushed types to 'dykish' types of the short nature.
they share a loothing of many people and come across rather arrogant.
They use other labels slang but teh use has beocme so frequent it is now their own, making the whole idea very ironic.
ryan: look at thsoe scene kids, probably going to rush off to myspace to take some more pictures of their 'angles'

tom: ryan you cant talk your a scene kid

ryan: no im not!!!!

tom: ryan did i hurt your ego

harry: tom your forgetting hes not allowed to admit. gosh

scene

a style that includes looking extremely rediculous to the point of being "cool".

scene kids all look the same in a way, and its an off-branch of emo.
says things like "ZOMG dats HxC" (The term HxC means hardcore, but typing it like that destroys the meaning of the word."
also, the word "br00tal" also rules their slow and extremely unwitty vocabulary. (typing the word brutal like "br00tal" also destroys the meaning of the word. its like shooting yourself in the dick to get rid of a boner.)

they seem to be attracted to bright coulours, things with polka-dots, stripes, young children's characters(e.g. spongebob, dora the explorer), or stupid patterns.

usually have choppy, multi-coloured hair and obsess over shitty bands like metro station and MSI, depending on the scene "type."

scene is usually an off-branch of emo, but can also be many other things.

1. scenemo - noobs with bullet for my valentine shirts and dumb checkered headbands.

2. scenenig - black scenesters based on rap, hip-hop, ect. and have bright coloured shoes, tupac shirts, and studded belts.

"scene" can mean many different things, but isnt nessicarially a derogatory term.
put simply, scene is a synonym with "retarded".
emo, noob, bitch, retard, neeegro, hxc, zomg, hai, scene, scenester

Scene

In this day and time, the word 'scene' is another stereotype that generally describes a male or female that believe they are more 'different' or 'unique' in a crowd of people. In actuality, though, 'scenesters'(as they're more commonly referred as) are only judging themselves by another teenage stereotype, and can't actually be 'unique' since teenagers across the world try to pull of the trend.

This stereotype is modeled mostly by models such as Kiki Kannibal, Audrey Kitching, Hannabeth, Zui Suicide, etc, and as mentioned before, teenagers varying from 12-21 try to pull off this trend that mentioned models have succeeded in pulling off.

To become a scenester, it's very common to have fried black or platinum blonde hair with different sort of extensions or coon tails placed all over their hair. Usually girls who try to pull of the scene style tend to 'tease' their hair, by simply back brushing their short layers with a teasing comb. Guys, as well, usually stick to blond or black hair, that is usually combed over one eye or perhaps even both. Though it is not frowned upon, most 'scene guys' tend not to color their hair like the girls do, although it is used.

Most people who try to pull of the style try to pierce their face(usually piercings such as septums, snakebites, angelbites, nose rings, or lip rings), though a lot of scenesters choose not to damage their face with piercing rings. Even though body jewelry usually bolds the scene look, most of the time, scene girls tend to make up for the loss of piercings with overdoing their hair moreso.

People who are scene usually wear a lot of make-up, which, a lot of the time, consists of lots of eyeliner. Scene girls usually also prefer to wear fake eyelashes, while guys stick to either eyeliner or natural. Girls, though, tend to overdo themeselves with a lot of eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer(to, most of the time, appear paler).

To become scene, most of the clothes scene girls and guys dress in are skinny jeans(which can be purchased in any Pacific Sunwear, Hot Topic, Zumiez, etc) that differentiate from black to bright neon yellow. Also, scenesters like to wear band shirts or bright shirts or jackets; as long as it's abnormally bright or black, usually scene kids wouldn't mind wearing it.

Girls, moreso then guys, usually have an unnerving fascination with 'Hello Kitty', and express this by wearing HK necklaces, bracelets, T-Shirts, etc, while posting pictures of HK on their myspace or facebook.

Both, guys and girls, try to listen to music that is under the 'screamo' or 'crunk' category. A lot of the times, scene kids like to listen to hardcore rap as well as hardcore music to wider their selection. Some of the music most commonly listening to by scenesters are bands like: Brokencyde, Chiodos, Bring Me The Horizon, Lil Wayne, and The Devil Wears Prada; as I mentioned before, anything defined under the 'crunk', 'hardcore rap', or 'hardcore screaming' category is most likely what you would find on a scenester's iPod or Zune.

Besides all of the typical scene trend, scenesters also ALWAYS have myspaces, always decorating their pages with junky pictures of their hobbies, or about themselves, along with their 'state' in their display name(example, a scene kid would most likely put say, NJ, after their name on mysace). Scene kids also take a lot of pictures, but put on only the good ones they believe will get them an ample amount of comments(usually aiming to get 30 or up), always asking to do pc4pc(picture comment for picture comment) with others so they could get more photo comments.

It's not unusual to see if a scene kid smokes marijuana, cigarettes, or drinks alcohol. Though a good half of them actually tend to stay away from drugs, the other half usually obsess about the drug they take. To express this, they try to usually put it on their myspace or instant messaging profile. As I said before, not every scenester smokes, but at the same, it isn't uncommon.

Basically, if you don't have a good idea what a scene girl/boy seems like at the moment, it'd be best if you went on 'google' and typed it in under images. If you want to be scene? Good for you, and good luck with it.
Teenager One: Wow, Kiki Kannibal is super pretty! I think it may be because of her scene trend, I think I will try to be scene now too!

Teenager Two: Sure, good luck with that. Loose your originality and uniqueness young to become a scenester; that's fine with me.

Scene Boy

any boy who wears girl pants/tight pants, has his hair over one eye, wears tight and/or button down shirts, is trendy in an "i got this at goodwill" sort of way. Could be gay, could just seem like it. Piercings, while optional, are mainly in the lip if there. listens to music of the "emo", "screamo", random, persuasion.
Most boys at a Coheed and Cambria concert.

"Why are they wearing girl pants?"
-"It's ok, they're scene boys."

Scene

Life in the wonderful world of the unique scene kids of the country.

The typical scene boy:
Hi, I'm a fucking moron. You can certaintly find me on myspace. You’ll recognize me and my kind because my display name is namexcorexxx, or it has a huge word following my name, but I have no idea what it means, it just looks cool. I'm straight edge, when I feel like it. It totally depends on who I hang out with and what they are, cause god forbid I think for myself. I have no self esteem, I act like I do, but I'm crying on the inside. I have really nice unique hair. It's long in the front, to cover up my insecurities, but its short in the back, so i still have a little bit of masculinity. I shop at PacSun and other places that sell Tilt’s girls jeans I own numerous pairs but only wear 1, they have to be tight on my matchstick body, I love the feeling of my balls pressed up tight against my inner thigh. I try to look like a girl as much as I can without going under the knife. I don't eat meat, cause fall out boy says not to, but I love underage drinking and making out with other guys that look more like girls than I do. I have a girlfriend, but only so my parents don’t think im gay. I go to hardxcore shows and dance like I'm having a seizure or have parkinsons. I make a complete fool out of myself to try to get attention, even though I fail miserably. Sometimes I pay money to go to a club but i sit outside and bum cigs and smoke them hoping it makes me look cool. I really have no personality; I just do what my friends do, even though they feel the same way. I guess we're jst one giant group of estrogen and insecurities. I watch fuse to see what the latest scene bands are, so i can steal my dads money and run to FYE or hot topic and buy their extremely over priced CD. But trust me, I'm not like anyone. I swear.

The typical scene girl:
Hi, I'm 14 years old and am "sXe" For lifeone!!1one!1! I basically wear either short denim skirts with leg warmers underneath, spandex pants and a long dress like shirt that shows my vagina, or some crapily sewn hand me down jeans, & some shirt I got from a thift store, or urban outfitters. My hair is atleast 2 unatural hair colors, and is straigned almost to the point of death. If any of my friends see me with curly hair they wont accept me! My hair used to be long and cover my face, but I tried cutting it all scene and it ended up so short, so I scrunched it up, and threw on some hair dye and called it scene hair. I LOVE my fingerless gloves I got at hot topic for twenty dollars. No one else has them, except my friends, that’s what makes us, unique!! Along with all of our cute braclets we made from crappy beads we stole from our little sisters. I pierce my lip because it makes me look unique. I am a nonconformist, I do what I want, as long as fall out boy and atreyu and underoath approve of it. Also, if sonny moore wouldn't or hasn't done it, it must not be cool, so I can't do it either. I love Panic! at the disco too cause they don't sound like anyone else except for fall out boy, thursday, thrice, finch, and all those other awesome unique bands! my myspace says how I don't care what you think, But I'll dress however and do whatever to make you like me. So please don't break my brittle heart. But really, I'm so unique and different. I just do whatever my friends do
hoping that someday, someone will give a shit about me and my personality. No wait, I don't have one.
1) gloves are for bums that use old napkins & newspapers as sheets.
2) Peircings, extremely different, you know only ½ the population has some piercing besides earings.
3) Clearly lying, being fake, ranging from ages 13-18
4) kill me now

I Don't know whats more pathetic. Making a 10 minute movie on how to be scene, or me actually watching it. And it wasnt funny at all, cause they were being serious.
