art rock 

Hard to say where/who started it all. Some credit The Doors (More Jim Morrison, perhaps) with creating art rock. 70's - 80's is really where it had it's time (Pink Floyd, Janes Addiction, etc.). It's starting to make a comeback with such great bands as The Mars Volta, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Tool, The Locusts, A Perfect Cricle, etc. Art Rock is basically intelligent lyrics (sometimes random nonsense that make sense only to the person who wrote them) with mellow or sometimes fast paced guitars. Great genre.

The Mars Volta is my favorite Art Rock band. A Perfect Circle, Tool, and The Locusts come close though.

Art College 

A place where:

1. They overcharge you to learn things on your own.
2. Play youtube tutorials on a large projector or upload videos to you.
3. Go over material too fast outside of youtube tutorials.
4. Expect you to buy over-priced books you will never be required to use.
5. Force you to retake those ridiculous general education classes from high-school all over again.
6. 99% of them wont give you real world experience with clients during your stay.
7. Waste your time by giving you 90% of class time to work in class when you could just work from home for free.
8. Teachers who don't know an answer to your question will tell you to google for the answer.

Then after you can't find a job in the field because it's a rough industry, good luck on paying off your debt. Art college is something you should never go to. Build up your profile, learn from youtube tutorials, and get to meet people in the industry on your own time, and save yourself 4 years of your life and $50,000.

Typically an artist who is indifferent and or apathetic. An artist who seeks to be stereotyped as an artist. He tries to fit the mold. Wears the stereotypical artist beray, black and white striped french artist shirt. A rebel without a clue. He blatantly tries to fit the label of a artist stereotype, almost insinuating that others are not real artists except him.

Johny is such a art fag, no wonder he has no friends, that guy is such a poser. What a lamer.

Art Fetish 

A fetish that exists only in the realm of art. A person with an art fetish may, or may not have any of the same fetishes in real life.

I like drawing big breasts on my female characters, but in real life I prefer smaller more manageable breasts. Big boobs are just an Art fetish for me.
