A country that has elections and so is 'technically' a democracy but you would have to be crass to think of it as a real democracy because you can only vote for one of two candidates who are like "two cheeks of the same arse". They have almost no approval except by a few oligarchs & for the rest of us voting is "like a choice between cholera & gonorrhea".

"I'm afraid I live in a demo-crássy, I think I'd prefer a good old-fashioned dictatorship!"

democracy

Whatever ideologies and policies the United States and her allies enforce and incentivize abroad. This is always a source of butthurt for the targets of the campaigns to spread it.

The people of Afghanistan and Iraq were suffering from a lack of democracy, so the generous government of the United States, suffering from an overabundance of it, dropped over 9000 bombs on them and then sent their kind soldiers in to personally hand it to the citizens of the two troubled countries. Look how well they are doing now!

An unendorsed post-WW2 era program by a major retailer which allows cyclists to demo products for a short amount of time, cost-free.

Rider 1: Dude, I signed up for the 24-hour race but they price gouged me so bad I don't have money for lights, looks like I'll be hauling my old NiteRider battery on a pull-behind Burley trailer.

Rider 2: Man, don't be stupid. Just go pick up a light under the Performance demo progam and bring it back when you are done.
