One more thing that could make you emo is music taste, for instance, all types of rock and metal genres fit into emo. Some artists that would fit the emo genre would be: Joel Faviere, Get Scared, Black Veil Brides, and so on.
You dont need to fit all the criteria to be Emo, just one is fine, And if you fit some of it and dont want to be called Emo, then thats alright, you do you.
