Doom-and-Gloom Math

The hypothesis that a large proportion of the people in the developed world would lack the critical thinking and quantitative skills required of a 21st-century citizen, because the politics of nativism, populism, and racism plaguing their societies have directly or indirectly brainwashed or radicalized them.

Thanks to Trumpism or right-wing politics, clothed under white supremacism or white Christian nationalism, millions of adults and children have fallen victims to the gospel of doom-and-gloom math, who blame millions of immigrants and refugees for stealing their blue-and white-collar jobs and for invading the promised land of their forefathers (who did the same thing to Native Americans).

doom town

1. Minature city built by the makers of the atomic bomb to test the A-bombs effects on buildings;

2. Christian religious wacko comic about Sodom and Gommorrah, essentially giving license to the crazies for hate crimes against homosexuals;

3. Any city that looks like hell has broken loose and stopped to stay a while.

I was in Baltimore yesterday, and I got this feeling: doom town.

Cleveland used to be more a doom town, but the rock museum made it suck slightly less.

1) Pertaining to mass destruction, or doom

2) Wickedly cool

3) A decision that results in dire consequences

4) Disasterous exhaustion

April has been crushed by the doomatic blanket of tiredness.

"Aww, man thats too doomatic!"

And thus, great acts of doomatic proportions shall descend upon the human race.

Doombrain - someone so stupid that any decision they make in life or work, leaves a wake of rack and ruin behind them. These people are normally very short sighted and cannot metaphorically see more than one foot in front of themselves.

Wow, Gary just crashed his car because he was too busy looking out the window at a three legged dog. What a doombrain!

Cheesy Domper

A player, usually in Primary School soccer, where the offside rule doesn't apply, who stands as close to the goalline as possible and does either of two things :-

1. Get his foot onto a shot from a fellow teammate in order to claim the goal

or

2. Hangs around waiting for the ball to rebound off the post or be saved by the 'keeper in order to knock it in from 2 yards.

The most Cheesy of all Dompers is adept at doing both.
