Black Eye Friday

"Black Eye Friday" is a colloquial term used to describe the last Friday before Christmas, due to the severe excess of violence that occurs on that night. This is a direct result of: People drinking more, the army leave, the break up of Universities and Colleges and the miriad of work nights out.

Black Solidarity Day

A memorial day, created in 1969 by Panamanian-born activist, historian, and playwright, Carlos E. Russell. It is annually observed the day before Election Day in November, the first Monday of the month. Its purpose is for African diasporic people to exercise a 24- hour moratorium from shopping or participating in other commercial activity such as using the transit system. You can only spend money at Black owned businesses. The Pan-African ideal of the observance is to highlight racial inequality and the gap between the wealthiest of one of the most powerful nations in the world and those living in poverty.

Sofia Black D'Elia

A gorgeous girl from the U.S. version of the original controversial UK TV show by the same title. She played Tea- a confident and openly lesbian girl who was sexually confused and also after the other lead character- Tony. Since she was the only different character than the original British version, people liked her character more. Still, she is also the prettiest and seemed to be the most experienced, so she seemed to gain the most fans out of all the other actors. Also, out of all the other actors, she seemed to be the most defensive about the controversial content within the US Skins episodes. After the show got cancelled after the first season (not as a result of her performance, because she and her episode were praised by critics), she announced on her twitter that she was disappointed.

She is the most popular out of all of the US Skins actors on twitter (sblackdelia) and has many fan videos on Youtube. She is often called a prettier version of Selena Gomez. Because of her likable nature, beauty, great acting skills, and devotion to her work, she definitely seems like she will become a breakout star in the future.
