Indie

What a very select few achieve. Mainly "claim" to be indie, but they really aren't. In a couple years indie will become old, and the people that are still there are the true indies. At the moment it is the cool thing to be, the people that are it don't even truly, deeply, respect the music, they are in it for the glory of being indie. Maybe.... I dunno. Anyway...yeah. The true indies are getting a bad rap from people who are poser indies. Die you poser scum, emo kids too.

I am indie. Truly indie. I can rattle off any fact about any band. I love the music. Emo kids go to hell. Ronnie Thrasher, too.

indie-core

A person who dresses similar to what some may see as "scene", but do not agree with certain trends of the "scene" such as stripes in the hair, extensions and crazy teased hair held by loads of hairspray. Most indie-core kids will have lip piercings, but it is unusual for them to have piercings all over the face. Indie-core kids listen to mostly indie music, electronica, metal and rock rather than death metal, screamo, grindcore and hardcore music.

Ann: That girl is so scene, look at her snakebites and tight jeans!

Indie Kid

An Indie kid is a middle schooler or high schooler who is an intellectual, deep person who can appreciate art and other things that others may not. And because of this the kid is misunderstood and probably not popular. The word Indie in this context refers to Indie music which is defined by being thought provoking and intelligent but don't be fooled indie is a form of rock and often has electronic influence. Indie kids are most often artistic in one way or another. Wether it be music, drawing, painting or some other form. The Indie kid probably wears dark clothes converse shoes (aka chucks). But the indie kid really does not care what others think of his cloths. At this point you may be getting the Indie Kid Confused with hipsters. The main differences are age(hipsters are between 20 and 30). The other is fashion Hipsters are a lot more vintage with there style. Indies ware converse shoes to but don't let this confuse you. INDIE KIDS ARE A LOT LESS FASHION OBSESSED THAN HIPSTERS ANT INDIES PROBABLY DONT GIVE A SHIT.

Pop kid: Hey do you listen to Katy Perry
Hipster: Eww She Sucks I HAte HER
Indie kid: Yeah I dont like her either. I really don't pop music, but i see why people can get into it. I don't Know just not for me.

clique: a kid in high school or college who likes indie music, is usually intelligent, buys what they want and doesnt take shit from anybody, and can either be unpopular or popular with all other cliques (except for the cheerleaders, whose slutty shallow personalities won't talk to indie girls because they don't have a Gucci purse). Indie kids are usually witty and funny (in a quirky way).

INDIE IS NOT EMO OR GOTH. Those kids are a few steps farther to the pissed off side of life than indie kids. Most indie kids are happy =D

not sure, but most indie kids i know are democrats.

Cheerleader: hey, eww, indie kid!

Jock: that's my girlfriend.

Nerd: That's my lab partner.

Funny girl: that's my bff!

Cheerleader: but she's wearing UO!

Indie girl: basically, i'm me, and i'm happier than any cheerleader.
