Herod Clause

A clause in a contract, frequently buried in the fine print, that obligates the signer to fulfill an unacceptable condition, i.e. giving up your first born child. Sometimes such clauses are included to test whether the contract has been read by the client. Named for King Herod in the New Testament. British origin.

"I reviewed that contract and it has a Herod Clause on page three."

Heroes of Olympus

The best series ever made in the whole entire world ( my opinion). It has five books ( the fifth wont be out till next fall). Its about demigod friends that go through obstacles to defeat monster. It would be easier to understand if you read at least the first book from the Percy Jackson series.

gym class hero

A person in high school or junior high who thinks he is good at a sport because he beat all the un-athletic people in gym class.

kid 1: (shoots ball and gets it in) "dude I deserve a varsity jacket for smoking all your asses in basketball."
kid 2: "Man, stop being a gym class hero and play the real sport."
All kids in unison: "GYM CLASS HERO! GYM CLASS HERO!"
