Awkward and Crumbly

Phrase used to describe a social situation that is especially uncomfortable and strange. Often used to exasperate the situation for added personal humor, or in casual conversation for acquisition of lolz.

I have to go to the bathroom, I have explosive diarrhea and... Well THIS is awkward and crumbly!"

Awkward buffer

A person who goes along to a social situation to buffer the awkwardness. Used often when you're trying to get to know someone, but certainly not in the "date" sort of way. Works best if the awkward buffer is a friend of both parties.

Bob: I'm going to meet Maria tonight so we can hang out and get to know each other. Could you come with and be an awkward buffer?

Shelly: Sure! I'm good friends with her, I'll help keep the conversation going :)

Awkward-Annie

(1) A person who is incredibly awkward in their manner or physical appearance
(2) A person who is not capable of being alone with others without making unnecessary mouth noises, looking up constantly, or crying

Wow, that man was very difficult to start a conversation with, he was definitely an awkward-annie.

Awkward Sloth Slap

Just like the awkward salmon, only done with three fingers and done very sloooooooowly.

Sneak up behind someone and yell "Awkward Sloth Slap" Gently place three fingers between the persons legs and move them side to side ever so slightly brushing their inner thighs.

when a person goes in to hug you, and you don't feel comfortable, so you flail your arms and legs and make the moment more awkward.

Awkward Muffin

For when the turtle won't do and you only have one hand to symbolise an awkward moment.

A motion involving the unwrapping and eating of an imaginary muffin.
Some also include a swiwel and another bite if the awkward moment is especially long/awkward.

"Have you guys heard of the awkward muffin?"

"No."

"Better than the turtle, you can swiwel it whilst you eat it."
