Psycho-analytic awareness

A disability affecting some people when they are trying to fall asleep. Psycho-analytic awareness sufferers will focus on any noise (most commonly the television or room mates talking) to the point where they cannot fall asleep. This likely is caused by the individuals unconscious attempts to make sentences and paragraphs out of the words they hear just before sleep. Can often cause sleeplessness and insomnia.

Marie left the television on the Food Network in the living room again last night. I layed away all night listening to it through the wall because of my psycho-analytic awareness.

amateur night

Referring to a night night out at the bar. Usually a Brodeo filled with "Tools and Fools." Quite common in Bozeman, Montana.

May also refer to large quantities of hippies and dumb chicks who do not know how to act in a bar setting and become quite intoxicated and may express Paris Hilton or Tara Reid-like qualities.

Dude, this bar sucks. There's a chick puking in the bathroom and 50 guys making out with some Skank Tanks from the bachelorette party. It's totally amateur night.

Amateur Radio

Amateur radio, sometimes referred to as ham radio, is a hobby in which FCC Licensed Operators, ("hams") use radio and televsion equipment to communicate with other "amateurs" for public service, recreation and self-training.

Amateur radio operators enjoy personal (and often worldwide) wireless communications and are able to support their communities with emergency and disaster communications when necessary. They also develop their personal knowledge of electronics and radio theory. Nearly 6 million people throughout the world are involved with amateur radio.

The term "amateur" reflects the principle that Amateur Radio and its skilled operators are committed to helping communities without financial compensation; whereas Commercial Radio operates purely for profit.

A) 1) Mike just got his Amateur Radio License. He said it was easy now that there's no morse code needed.

2) Great now he can join us on the band.

B) 1) Did you hear that station last night? It was coming from Australia and it sounded like it was in my living room.

2) Yes, it came in a few minutes ago.
