Real World Demarcation Problem
Similar to Real Life, but focused on practical consequences and material constraints versus theoretical, academic, or idealistic plans. It's the gap between a model and the messy, resistant context it's applied to. A policy might be logically perfect in a white paper but fail in the "real world" of perverse incentives, unexpected variables, and human irrationality. The "real world" here is constructed as the realm of harsh limits, testing whether an idea is robust or fragile.
Example: "My economic theory was flawless on the blackboard. The Real World Demarcation Problem hit when I tried it in my small business: a supplier got sick, a key customer was irrational, and regulations I'd never considered applied. The 'real world' wasn't just physics; it was the chaotic aggregate of everyone else's agency and luck, which my clean model had demarked as irrelevant noise."

The Real World
A phrase that is popular among high school/college students and other people who live their lives outside of the societal norm that is used upon the realization that they will soon be entering the drab form of existence where they work behind a desk or counter for 40-50 years, pay taxes and bills, drink cheap beer while watching sporting events or movies on the weekends, wait for the next video game system or iphone to come out, plan trips to Europe, and find a significant other that will help them bring other useless fucks into this world to continue this helpless, modern era cycle of chasing down the newest commercialized good while contributing not a single bit of positive productivity to the world in return.
Person 1 - "Man, I graduate soon. I can't believe it."
Person 2 - "No kidding. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Maybe I'll try to become an accountant or work as a manager for some large retail chain. I heard they get good benefits. Time for The Real World, I guess."
Person 1 - "I think I'll just go drown myself in that lake over there. Its not like I'll be doing anything for the next 50 years anyways."
Person 2 - "No kidding. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Maybe I'll try to become an accountant or work as a manager for some large retail chain. I heard they get good benefits. Time for The Real World, I guess."

MTV's The Real World
An oxymoron.
MTV's The Real World: a drunken roommate sleeps with her best friend's boyfriend and the next morning, gets into an ugly fight with her friend. The production team breaks it up, the camera turns to clips of ambulances arriving at the house, and a week after it happened they act like nothing ever happened.
The actual real world: the friend sues the roommate on assault, battery, & defamation charges. The roommate is forced to work 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs in order to pay for the court settlement & a cheap apartment right next to the airport in order to get by.

A reality TV show that airs on MTV. A show that started out with some noble goals about diversity, social issues, etc. It has, however, devolved into a mindless homo erotic hot tub party of drunken twenty-somethings. All cast members think they'll never have to work a real job after they've been on the show. Former Real World "stars" wind up broke and being pimped out to "make an appearance" at seedy nightclubs for a few hundred bucks. Totally pathetic.
The continued success of the Real World shocks even the most jaded MTV programming director. "People actually still watch this crap?"

The Real World
War is immanent. Crime is wide spread. Corruption is law. And money is power. That's just how it all works, as human beings are consumed by there own greed, the world changes along with them. Those who try to call for a change are always struck down by the sword we have come to know as the government. Then again, the majority elect those in government. So it's safe to conclude that those we elect are only elected because we think they will benifit us, but the selfish way we think makes us only think of the benefits of one and not the many. With this type of power looming over us, it's only a matter of time before national calamaty grips this pathetic country.
In the real world, there are no heroes. Only those who benifit the majority,those who benifit from the majority, and those who are layed down by the majority.
