House Hunters

A show on the HGTV cable network that features a person or couple—usually wealthy or upper middle class—looking for a home that is often overpriced and too big for its own good. In my opinion the show promotes materialism, entitlement, greed and waste; and entices the viewer to keep up with the Joneses. What’s really funny is watching a couple wanting to buy another home just because they don’t like the floor plan of their current home or the color of the floors and carpet, or watching a young twenty-something couple buying a $300,000 home as their first place after getting married.

House Hunters typifies waste, entitlement and materialism in America, and is produced to entice you into keeping up with the Joneses. I wonder how many homes on the show have been foreclosed? Just a thought.

Huntersville, NC

A wonderful town, less than 30 minutes from the heart of Charlotte, NC.
also very close to Lake Norman.
it was named #2 best place to live in the US one year by Forbes.
Birkdale is one of the its biggest attractions.
there is a great homeschool community. and the public schools are not too bad either.
many parks.

mall nearby
there is a Discovery Kid's Museum for children around 2-8yrs old.

a beautiful town, with historic houses.
yeah there are some rednecks, but that ok.

Guy: Have you heard of this place called Huntersville, NC???

Girl: OMG YES! It is so amazing! i love to walk around Birkdale and buy a bunch of stuff... and there is a mall too!!!!
why?

Guy: oh cuz i heard that the fishing is great on lake norman.

mullet hunters

People who derive entertainment value from spotting mullets where crowds of people gather. This would include fairs, exhibitions, malls and stores other than Walmart. The hunt is generally performed similar to the license plate game played on long trips. The object of the game is to find the most mullets. The identified mullet must be confirmed by the other players. Bald on top with tail counts. Couples where the spouse has complementary 80's big hair count for extra laughs.

The car show was a great place for mullet hunters last weekend.

Huntersville, NC

A small town beginning 15 minutes from downtown Charlotte. The perfect mix of small town suburban life and being close to a large city. The schools are always overcrowded. Hopewell is better than North Meck. Huntersville Cops do NOTHING except hide and try to catch people speeding. It's because Huntersville isn't high on crime.

Guy 1: You better slow your roll.
Guy 2: Why?
Guy 1: This is Huntersville, NC. HPD will bust yo ass in a minute. They're bored and everywhere.

Gypse Hunters

A group of teenaged kids from western Canada who hunt and slay gypse's for money. there arsenal includes, but is not limited to, a potato cannon, a white van (gypse's are color blind to white), mountain bikes, and various 6mm airsoft guns.

Kevin: "dude that gypse just stole my wallet!"
Cameron: "oh no! what are you gonna do??"
Kevin: "i gotta call the Gypse Hunters!!"
