A male friend of a girl, with whom the girl does not have sexual relations with, (or commonly also, just doesn't want to admit she is, in fact fucking him) who is not her boyfriend.

Friendboxed

The process of being stuck in the friendbox. It tends to happen if you are single and have an attractive friend who is also single. You end up falling for them, loving them with all your heart, but they don't love you in return, and just want to be friends. The relationship will never progress beyond friendship, even though it kills you. When this happens, then you have been friendboxed.

Being confined to the friendbox leaves you unable to move on, get over them, or want to have a relationship with anyone else.

"Friendboxed" really ought to be available as a Facebook relationship status. It is a far more accurate description than "Single" for a lot of people.
