The act of putting someone else down or insulting them to boost one's Ego. It is most commonly done through pointing out the other person's shortcomings.

However, said people should eliminate their excessive time posting and more time working on relationships with their straying significant other. Duh, why else do you think he bought you that nice stuff?

When somebody keeps doing drugs and gets an ego from it, when it is the root of why the person shouldn't have an ego. This is also ironically what makes it even harder for the person to quit the habit.
