devil's nap

The devil's nap is taken around 5-8p and usually lasts about two hours. When you awake from the devil's nap, you normally have lost all sense of time and typically believe it's much later than it actually is.

When I woke up from the devil's nap, I thought I was late for work, but it turns out it was still Sunday evening.

Devilcorp

Devilcorp is the nickname given to the descendant companies of DS-Max. DS-Max was arguably the world's largest direct sales firm but had to change names due to bad press. The reason for the "Devilcorp" nickname is that many employees feel as though they need to make a deal with the devil in order to succeed. This company is known for its psychological tricks which are used against their employees in order to keep them selling for as long as possible. DS-Max and its descendants have a mountain of bad press including news reports, government rulings, lawsuits and video footage showing how they do business. There are also an abundance of complaints from former employees numbering in the thousands.

Thank God I quit Devilcorp.

inverted devil's horns

Using the inverted or upside down devil's horns has 2 meanings. Most often seen at Goth and Industrial shows or in Gothic night clubs, it is used as it resembles Vampire fangs and to say "metal sucks". Both relaying to those around you that you simultaneously support the Goth scene (though most Goths detest the Vampire scene, the gesture is used tongue in cheek) and condemn the metal scene, or those who confuse the two. It began as a backlash against new comers to the Goth scene (or neos) who don't understand that Goth exists not as a compliment to the metal scene, but as it's antithesis.

Wow, man. That scary guy looked at my Manson shirt and gave me the inverted devil's horns like he was irritated. I don't get it.
