To threaten to strike or to strike someone with your dukes as a warning to back off. It's the mighty clout you need to watch out for. You will know what a mighty clout is when recieved by another.

If you don't stop chirpen you will recieve a clout.

A word that indicates one is highly respected among his peers and/or the community. The higher the level of clout one has, the more respect awarded to them. Things can be done to raise one's clout level, such as dressing fashionably, being knowledgeable and well-versed in a multitude of areas, or overall, being fucking awesome.

Johnny's clout levels are off the charts.
They're checking clout cards at the door.
