Its' embodiment could be a drinking vessel of any form, for example, a pint-sized tankard, beaker, bowl, cannikin, cup, demitasse, draught, mug, taster or tumbler.

Before a night out: 'Time to fill the chalice of banter!'

When a person with smelly chat contributes to a session too much: 'the chalice of banter has sprung a leak.'
