Jim goes in to Don's office, complaining about someone or something.
Don is trying to decide whether he's supposed to commiserate or start knocking heads.
Don asked, "is this a problem you want fixed, or just idle bitching?"

Buttchillen

It's a broader term than couch potato. It's not really being lazy but just relaxing, chilling. Doing stuff but not doing anything specific just going with the flow chillen.

Watchin tv waiting for someone to text you? You're buttchillen.

people botching

Deliberately or subconsciously offending others, botching prospective relationships or otherwise disseminating negative personality traits as a pastime. People botching ranges from the careless (distasteful jokes, obscure references etc), to extensively premeditated offenses such as unattractive beards, conspicuous weight gain or relentless pun creation.

I wish I could have that year back that I spent people botching.

Buttering the Cat

In the disability rights community: attempting to help someone without asking if they need help, or in a way that is not actually helpful (and indeed may be harmful to the disabled person or to others).

Comes from a viral Twitter thread featuring Jorts the orange cat who was having trouble grooming himself. A well meaning but clueless human buttered Jorts in an attempt to teach him how to groom himself. This may or may not have resulted in a different cat being sick from licking the butter off of Jorts.

"Hey, don't just grab my chair; that's buttering the cat!"

"Stop buttering the cat, tonight's homework is easy!"

"Butching"- (to butch) definition: the act of really getting something done, in some way relating to being a butch lesbian.

Example: "Maegan you're really butching it right now!" (referring to carrying a lot of groceries upstairs at one time)
