A common greeting used to greet a group of people, both male and female. The first use of this term originated in Abbottsford Hall at Marquette University. Can also be used to greet a single individual but chix is changed to chic.

"Hey Alex, meet Trish, Sam, Tim, and Margret"
"What up chix!?"

Used singularly:
"Hey Alex"
"What up chic!?"

A greeting (mostly used in Chi-town) to any one of your friends. A street song came out (Where I come from we say Joe. Part of a language you must know. Whasup Joe?Whasup Joe?)
Note- To the male, no she didn't just call you another boy's name!

*Boy A: "Hey Whasup Joe? Did you see them jukin last night?"
*Boy B: "Yeah Joe. That was crazy!"
