A Writer’s Religious Partiality

A writer’s religious partiality becomes clear when he chooses the names of the characters for most of his stories, novels etc. from his own religion.

A: I have tried to invent a new term called 'a writer’s religious partiality'. When a Muslim writer sits at the desk to write a story, then he thinks about Muslim names for the characters. Similarly, when a Hindu writer decides to write a story, Hindu names appear before his mind; a Christian writer chooses Christian names for his novels, dramas etc. But, sometimes a Muslim, Hindu and Christian writers also choose the characters' names from other religions. However, it happens 'sometimes'. In most of the cases, a writer's religious partiality becomes clear. I must say that this kind of partiality is normal and accepted by everyone. There's nothing wrong in it because a writer’s religious faith, his upbringing, his own community etc. influence him to choose names from his own religion.

Trolls on the internet who go around on various websites such as Yahoo Answers, Amazon, Sodahead, Facebook and every other message board.

They typically give bad reviews to books that do not support their theology, leave nasty comments one any blogs that do not match their theology, and answer questions about beliefs they are against with the intent on ridiculing them.

Review: I have been looking for a book that represents Universalism in a biblical way - that will convince me. This isn't it. There are many references that have an Eastern religious feel, and they made me feel cautious. Not a book that I would recommend to "prove" Universalism beliefs to another believer. I wasn't even persuaded by it. In fact it left me questioning such...

Religious freedom

A bullshit excuse used by conservatives and the religious right to justify using their beliefs as weapons to preach against others who don't believe in what they do. They claim that their right to speech (hate and discriminate) against anything they find immoral or against their ideology should be protected and legalizing something like abortion or same-sex marriage would infringe on their rights and hurt their "religious freedom" (to hate).

A religious masturbator is one who worships god as he or she has nothing better to do with their lives. Often, the point of being religious is to use churches and other christian events as social venues. They try to make God a 'cool dude' basicaly giving God a funboy image like themselves. Religious masturbators, or RMs for short, are often on the pull and use their apparant innocence as an RM in this act, unfortunately, most girls fall for this and in turn, usualy become RMs themselves.

The concept of interpreting the Bible or other religious texts outside of a literal sense; finding the meaning that was intended behind specific stories, parables, or teachings. Generally when searching for religious truth, one takes into account the time period, the society, the audience, and the writing styles used. This allows religious scholars to understand the Koran the way the first Muslims would have, or to understand the problems and solutions outlined in one of Paul's Epistles.

Luke's Gospel is a good example of the concept of religious truth. The religious truth of Luke's Gospel is that Jesus came for all humanity, especially the poor and marginalized members of society. This is especially shown in his birth narrative, which portrays Jesus being born in a stable and sleeping in a manger. The birth narrative also shows shepherds as the first to hear the good news of Jesus' birth; shepherds were extremely low-class citizens in ancient Jewish society.

Religious Right

A group of religious extremists that are responsible for much of the misery present in the world today. A bunch of goddamned two face hypocrites who do not practice what they preach. A bunch of racist, homophobic pigs who cannot stand ideas like democracy, seperation of church and state, and people who think and believe differntly than they do.

The Religious Right embody so much of how Jesus Christ described the pharisees of old in Matthew 23.
