Post-Punk Revivalism is a type of indie rock that emulates the sound of Post Punk bands of the late 70s and New Wave bands of the early 80s. They feature a more artsy, complex sound than other branches of indie rock, and often add synthesizer or other electronic sounds to the traditional guitar, bass, and drums. Post-Punk revivalism started in England in the early 00s and, while it is still strongest there today, it has grown in popularity in the US, Australia, and Canada.
Jack: Man, Franz Ferdinand is the shit. I love the Post-Punk Revival!

A really good band who's not very known because they are barely advertised on the internet. They sound similar to coldplay, and if you've ever seen that VERB commercial wih that song "Step into the Sun" this is the band that sings that song
you can not find solid state revival's song "step into the sun" if you google search step into the sun lyrics.

An American country/rock band that became popular during the Vietnam War. Produced classic hits such as "Proud Mary", "Green River", "Suzie Q" and "Fortunate Son".
Could also be known as CCR, or Creedence Clearwater.
Unfortunately they split circa 1971/2, but still sometimes perform together.

Post-punk revival, in my opinion, is the best music of the new millennium. It's a movement that started in the late 90's and continues today. Bands in this genre draw influences from the original 80's post-punk bands, and they also have a britpop feel to them. Hopefully post-punk revival will continue to grow into the next decade.
We Are Scientists, Bloc Party, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, and The Strokes are a few of the many great post-punk revival bands.
