Letter Speak

When people speak by calling out each letter of many of the words in their conversation because young children are present for any number of reasons.

Mom: I want to tell you something but Chris is here.

Dad: Just use letter speak.

Mom: My D-A-D is going to G-E-T C-H-R-I-S a W-I-I for C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S.

Dad: Awesome!

Kid: What did mommy say daddy?

Dad: I can't tell you.

letter box

A square or rectangular prism shaped box commonlly situated at the front of peoples houses mounted on a post or in a precut hole in the fence. A letter box can usaully consist of two different holes; a rectangular hole cut into the letterbox, which is where the postman or postwoman places paper messages encased in a an adressed envolope. The other hole is a round cylinder, where pointless paper, also known as junkmail, is inserted by the paper boy. On the letter box,it is very common to have the number that represents the house that the letter box is used for. Some letter boxes can be locked by a small padlock to prevent people from stealing your mail (this is highly recommeded if you live in a shitty/dodgy neibourhood). Most people like to decorate their letterboxes but is usually a very bad idea.

letter of intent

(Law) (Verb) A first kiss indicating that the kisser, i.e. initiator has the serious intention of doing something more to the kissee, i.e. receiver. Such as kissing more, something a bit sexier or potentially even dating depending on the circumstances specified in previous negotiations. It does not constitute either a promise or a contract, further described in the Flight of the Conchords so aptly named song A Kiss is Not a Contract.

Woman: What! I thougth you gave me a letter of intent, how are you NOW dating my sister?

letter boxing

Hiding a box in a remote location and giving clues on how to find it. Inside the box is a notebook and a stamp. Serchers bring their own stamp and book; they use their stamp to mark the book in the letter box. They then use the stamp in the box for a mark their notebook.

The letter boxing clues made the hidden box easy to find.

Consistently receiving low scoring letters in a game of Scrabble or Words with Friends, making is very difficult to win.

Tammy only won the Words with Friends game because the computer letter raped me the entire game.
