A cat that follows you around all the time, never leaving your side, and is always vocalizing its desire for attention/ food. A cat that talks back when you tell it to quit jumping on the counters/ blinds/ screen door/ dog.

Person to cat: "Get off the counter!"

Gumper

1. Just a total jerk.

2. Someone who just committed a foolish or stupid act and should therefore feel sheepish.

When one feels as though words describing douchebags or fools become boring and trite as they often do, the logical solution is to stay ahead of the curve by employing newly formed words, sometimes out of accident. Hence, "gumper".

1. Dude: I recently read that a 15 year old boy strangled his mother because she found his pot stash and was going to punish him.
Girl: Did she die?!?
Dude: I don't think so. But what a gump. Just a gumper.
Girl: You're a gumper.

2. Waitress: You have a good meal!
Guy Diner 1: You too!

Gulker

A person ( usually a male but not always ) whom appears to do whatever it takes to win favors from a person in a supervisory position. Used on large contractor job sites with lots of new recruits.....many hoping to get the easiest tasks on a long term job site. Gulk is the sound made during the process of winning the favor.

Many of the crew at the mill knew that Dwayne was the big Gulker on "A" shift, because he never got the dirty jobs and always went to lunch with the foremen.
