What some woke people think you should use instead of German because the latter word contains "man", despite that having nothing to do with gender. The same types of people usually think "German" is offensive because of the above reason, and that "Gerwoman" is a real word.

Similar efforts, though legitimate ones, are also used with languages with actual grammatical gender, ironically including German itself.

Person A: (makes some joke about Germans)
