Dog's Cock 

Also "dogcock" or "dogscock." British journalese for an exclamation mark (!) due to the visual similarity. Considered vulgar but widely used within the industry.

Mentioned in Lynn Truss's book EATS, SHOOTS AND LEAVES.

Dog's Bollix 

Def: a positive exclamatory remark or compound adjective. Synonymous with da bomb. Refers to an object or event that is clearly the best object or event ever.

I believe that this is a UK slang term. It refers to the fact that a dog can lick his own balls, which seems to be an ideal situation for any single dog. Projected into the human world, the statement heartily endorses things that cannot be improved upon.

"Dude, that party last night was the dog's bollix"

"That's the dog's bollix!"

A colloquial expression used to describe different levels of either temperature, moods, physical appearance, etc...

1. Damn...he's hotter than a dog's ass!

dog's bollocks 

Meaning very good.
Incidentally, the adjective has a somewhat strange history.
It originally comes from Mechano, a British model construction kit. When it first came out in the 50s and 60s, there were 2 different kits available - the Box Standard and the Box Deluxe.

Over time, Box Standard gave birth to the phrase Bog Standard, meaning very average.
Conversely, the spoonerism of Box Deluxe sounds very similar to Dogs Bollocks, for which the meaning of above average was attached.

Basically the same as "the bomb" or "the sh*t" but for people who think the're too mature to say "the bomb sh*t" but not elderly enough to say "cat pyjamas"
