lyrical abstraction

Lyrical Abstraction in painting is an opening to personal expression. The term was originally coined by Larry Aldrich 1; other sources sustain that it was Jean José Marchand and Georges Mathieu who first used the term Abstraction Lyrique in 1947 in Paris. The name "Tachisme" is sometimes used to describe this movement.

Some notable painters "inspired" in this "style" are: Wassily Kandinsky considered one of the fathers of abstraction, Paul Klee, Frank Kupka, Robert Delaunay, Mordecai Ardon, Norman Bluhm, Jean René Bazaine, Hans Hartung, Wols, Max Bill, Gunther Gerzso, Huguette Arthur Bertrand, Georges Mathieu, Jean Miotte, Ronnie Landfield and Stefan Fiedorowicz.

The emotion in my work comes from somewhere deep down, and can speak to the inner part of each person... My work is intuitive; colour is the language that I use to express an emotion. It is the interaction of colour that interests me. Stefan Fiedorowicz.

I am a colourist who has followed the lyrical abstraction movement and I use color to convey something personal and internal... Why I choose certain objects to paint and how I illustrate them is a mystery to me. I do not think about it too much. Certain objects are close to me because of what they mean to me or what they look like, their shape. I simplify them and sometimes combine them into pleasing arrangements. I like working over the canvas surface over and over again because most of the time I am not sure of what I want, especially my abstracts done with thick colourful oils and wall scrapers. 1

money abuse is where people spend money on something they dont need and dont spend it on the things they need.

in the book the glass castle the parents spend their money on alcohol and on art supplies and not on food to feed their four children. this is money abuse

Hashtag Abuser

Person who goes nuts after learning about using hashtags and uses them for every post on every platform.

BB was such a hashtag abuser after I showed her the Justin Timberlake skit that we had to mark our and tape all the pound signs in the building. Then she started using her hands.

Any time a vessel containing the holy herb (In good conditions also known as " kryptochroniconolite")

ANYTIME someone drops the joint, pipe, blunt, bong or otherwise.

ex. dude... you just droped that "add object name here". DRUG ABUSE!

It may be repeated as much as needed til the pain leaves your heart.

abstrash art

1: A more accurate term for "abstract art."

2: "Art" usually consisting of scribbly lines or Picasso-esque, child-like finger painting, and otherwise meaningless, emotionless wastes of canvas over which highly discerning art afficionados "ooh" and "aah" as if they "understand what the artist was saying."

guy1: wow, look at how he communicates his tormented emotion through the use of these bold swirls of mixed paint here!

guy2: dude, it looks like a kid's scribble. this is just abstrash art.

Slang term used by Rapper Biggie Smalls A.k.a The Notorious B.I.G, Big Poppa. Term for people who buy drugs and smoke them. Such as Marijuana, Mary jane or herb. Users in other words.
