Get the Brexit mug.A fictitious and satirical name for the UK, post-Brexit to denote its "Little England" separatist mentality. It is modelled on "Ruritania" (the fictitious country featured in The Prisoner Zenda and other related novels.
It is a critical word denoting that the nation that turned its back on its European neighbours, was doing so to try to regain its Empire and Imperial past. It also alludes to the Xenophobia and racism which drove the "Leave EU" vote.

Get the Brexitania mug.A football strategy that involves "no nonsense" defending, parking the bus, hoofing the ball up the park instead of playing precise through balls, high aggression and reliance on the brute strength of the players to overcome the opposition. Shithousery, in other words. A more "traditional" way of football. Famously used by Burnley FC and their goat manager Sean Dyche. While often criticised, some claim it has helped Burnley and other similar teams to success in recent years, and has gotten them results against tough opponents. Influence has spread all across English football.
Named for the fact that "Brexitball" teams are normally based in white, working class areas with similar players, and these areas are known to support Brexit and Boris Johnson in recent years.
