Knowledge Elasticity suggests that knowledge isn't a fixed category (justified true belief) but a stretchy concept: scientific knowledge stretches differently from experiential knowledge, which stretches differently from indigenous knowledge. The theory identifies knowledge's elastic limits: when does stretching become credulity? When does adaptation become distortion? Understanding knowledge requires understanding how far it can stretch while still being knowledge. A normative framework proposing that our conception of knowledge should be elastic—designed to stretch across different ways of knowing without breaking. Elastic Knowledge wouldn't insist on one standard (scientific, propositional) but would provide principles for how knowledge claims can stretch: what changes, what remains, how to recognize when you've stretched too far. It's epistemology for a pluralistic world—knowing that knowledge takes many forms, and that understanding requires flexibility, not rigidity. Elastic Knowledge is knowledge that knows its own limits.
