Named after the Miranda warning ("anything you say can be used against you"), this bias describes situations where debate becomes impossible because any statement you make will be twisted, misrepresented, or weaponized. If you provide evidence, it's biased. If you cite sources, they're unreliable. If you make an argument, it's fallacious. Miranda Bias leaves no path to productive engagement; the only winning move is not to play. It's the signature tactic of bad-faith arguers who want not to win but to silence.
Example: "She tried everything—evidence, logic, sources, reasoning. Every response was turned against her: 'That source is biased.' 'That's just your interpretation.' 'You're committing a fallacy.'
